Going from completely overcast to high-pressure dominated nearly cloudless skies usually yields a plane-Jane sunrise event... but that fails to consider atmospheric elements you
can't see and the effects they may have on the view. These robust crepuscular rays and cloud shadows are a case in point (better
large on black) - never saw them coming, but they sure provided for anything
but a p-J sunrise event!
