The longest pencils in the world?! (theme)

I’ve been really stuck for what to shoot for today’s pink, purple and white theme. I tried a few flowers in the garden at school today but couldn’t get the composition right. I wandered around the house when I got home, looking for suitable subjects, and found these two pencils which ticked all the right boxes, especially when shot on a white surface. I took this with my little compact camera at f2.5 and I was surprised by how long they look in this shot – they almost seem to be stretching into the far distance!
